PRE-PAGES

   Pre-pages include Title page, Copyright Page, Acknowledgment and Dedication pages, Table of Contents, List of Illustrations, List of Tables, Foreword, Preface, Introduction, as well as blank pages if any. If your publication does not include all of these pre-pages do not worry, they are not all mandatory. The only pages we require your publication to have are the Title page, Copyright page and possibly a Table of Contents. Some blank pages may be added to the pre-pages to make the publication more aesthetically pleasing or to force page numbering to fall correctly (odd number pages on the right).

Title Page —
   When you are creating your book, the first page must be your title page. The title page generally includes only the title, subtitle, author, and publisher’s name, city and state.

Copyright Page —
   The Copyright page includes copyright information: “Copyright © 2002 TEACH Services, Inc.” If you would like us to file for copyright for you there is a fee (current price at printing).

   This page also includes the following standard information we supply for all books we publish:

If TEACH Services is marketing your book, your title will be registered with “Books in Print Subject Guide,” the industry leader used by book buyers and Librarians for information on over 1,000,000 titles, which uses the book’s ISBN (International Standard Book Number), the LOC (Library of Congress Catalog Number) and the UPC (Universal Product Number — bar code) &mdas; which will be discussed later, when listing book titles. We will provide you with both of these numbers free of charge if you are publishing under TEACH Services, Inc. (Note: a book must be 50 pages or more to receive a Library of Congress number.)

   You may also include author, editor, reference to first edition printing, and acknowledgments for illustrators, writers, or other contributors to the book. The publisher’s name and address are also listed at the bottom of this page.

BACK MATTER

   Back matter includes indexes, glossaries, bibliographies, appendixes, and ordering information. As with the pre-pages you may not have all of these aspects in your manuscript. That is all right, we do not insist on any of these. However, if you are publishing your manuscript under TEACH Services, Inc. We do often include one or more pages of “Other Books by TEACH Services,” If you have a contract with us for marketing your published material this is one means we employ. Remember that your book may appear in this listing in the back of other books we publish.
